Officials who don't have an account yet

Greyed names marked "No account yet" are officials already on your crew who haven't signed up. They hold their seat, and the assignment becomes theirs when they accept their invitation.

Sometimes a crew is settled before everyone on it has a Bluebridge account, for example when the Bluebridge team loads your schedule and roster for you from a spreadsheet. Those officials are placed on their matches and sent an invitation to join. Until they create their account, they appear on your event page as greyed names marked "No account yet".

Where you'll see them

At the end of the Accepted list on each match or day, numbered on from your accepted officials. A grey REFEREE tag (a grey R on a phone) means they're down as head referee. Hover a name to read "Invited to Bluebridge. This becomes their accepted assignment when they create an account."

They hold their seat

Someone awaiting an account counts as filled everywhere Bluebridge counts your crew:

  • The Accepted count on the crew card and the count beside the match or day.
  • Confirmed and Open positions on the staffing strip.
  • The filled check on My Events and in Find an event.
  • Action Items, which won't ask you to fill a seat they hold, or to name a referee when they're down as the referee.

What happens when they sign up

  1. 1They open their invitation email, create their account, and agree to the Terms.
  2. 2Each match they were placed on becomes an Accepted assignment. They don't have to accept it; it's already confirmed. If they were down as head referee and nobody else has taken the role since, they keep it. Matches you've removed in the meantime are skipped.
  3. 3They get an email listing their assignments, and their name turns green in your crew card like any other accepted official.
They need to use the invitation link
The assignments travel with the invitation. If someone makes an account another way, it won't pick them up and their name keeps showing "No account yet"; contact the Bluebridge team to move them over. Invitations expire after 14 days. A Bluebridge admin can resend one, and the assignments stay attached.

What you can't do with them yet

  • Release or remove them from the event page. Their row has no actions, so contact the Bluebridge team if someone won't be joining.
  • Include them in Copy N emails, Share schedule, or a tournament's site placements. Those start once they have an account.
  • Show them to other officials or viewers. The crew lists officials see, and viewers' rosters, pick them up once they've signed up.
Inviting someone yourself
There's no button on the event page for adding someone who isn't on Bluebridge yet. Invite them from My Groups with Invite, and assign them with Assign once they've joined.
