Action Items — your assigning to-do list
One queue of everything that still needs you: unfilled days, matches without a referee, and open release requests. Act on each item inline.
Action Items (For Assignors menu, or the badged tile on your dashboard) derives a live to-do list from your events. Nothing is stored — items appear when a gap exists and disappear the moment it's closed, so the count in the nav badge is always the real number of things waiting on you.
What makes an item
- Needs officials — an upcoming day or match where accepted officials, plus officials still waiting to create their account, plus unanswered assignments, fall short of the officials count. Assign pending applicants right from the item.
- Needs referee — a day with an accepted crew but no head referee. A referee who hasn't created their account yet counts as having one. Promote someone with one click.
- Release request — an official has asked out of an accepted day. These always pin to the top of the list (someone is actively waiting on your answer) with Grant and Deny inline, plus their stated reason.
Search, sort, pages
The list paginates at 25 with a search box (event name or matchup) and four sorts: Soonest, Biggest gap, Event A–Z, and Type. Long applicant lists collapse to the first six with a Show-all toggle.
One-by-one mode
The One by one button opens the same queue as a deck of cards you can swipe through — drag a card off to skip (arrow keys work too), tap Assign / Make Referee and the deck advances on its own. Actions you take in the deck sit in a 30-second undo bar before they publish; closing the deck publishes anything still pending. If a filled day later springs a leak (a decline, a granted release), its item comes right back.
