Schedule-conflict warnings

Small amber chips flag dates where you already have another Bluebridge commitment. They never block you, they just make sure you notice.

Account2 min read

When you're considering a new event, or being moved through assignment status on one, Bluebridge checks whether you already have something else on that calendar day and shows a small amber warning icon if you do. The chip is advisory: it never blocks Apply, Accept, or any other action.

Where the chip shows up

  • The apply modal, before you confirm an application, each date you're about to apply to shows the chip if you already have something on it.
  • The applicants list (when you can see one), your own row carries the chip on dates that conflict.
  • My Applications, each row that conflicts with another commitment is flagged.
  • My Assignments, same treatment for assigned or accepted dates.

What the hover or tap reveals

Hover the chip on desktop, or tap it on mobile, to see a short sentence describing the other commitment. The phrasing depends on the status of the other date:

  • "You've applied to X this day", you have a pending application elsewhere.
  • "You've accepted X this day", you've already committed to working that event.
  • "You've been assigned X this day", you've been assigned to another match and haven't replied yet.
  • "You've requested release from X this day", you asked to be released but haven't been let go yet.
Pending applications count too
The check is intentionally inclusive: even a pending application (not yet accepted) raises the chip. The idea is to surface anything you might forget about, not just confirmed commitments. Released and declined dates don't trigger a chip, since they're not active.
Hidden events don't trigger the warning
If an admin has hidden an event, it doesn't participate in conflict detection, you won't see a chip for a hidden event, and a hidden event won't generate chips on other dates either. Unless you're an admin, you also won't see hidden events at all in /search or in your assignments while they're hidden.
