Reminders we send before your assignments
Two automatic email reminders so a match never sneaks up on you: 48 hours before each college match, and 2 days before a tournament you accepted.
College / single-match reminder
About 48 hours before each match you accepted, Bluebridge sends you a heads-up email. It includes the date and time, the matchup, the venue, and the full crew working with you.
Tournament reminder
For tournaments you accepted, you get a single heads-up email about 48 hours before the tournament starts, not one reminder per day. The email lists every day of the tournament you are on so you can plan travel and logistics for the full event in one shot.
Referee designation
You get an email the moment an assignor names you referee on a date, and a separate email if they unset you. Both fire as soon as the assignor toggles the flag, not on the daily cron. On college matches the designation email also calls out the report obligation; on tournaments the referee tag is just an organizational marker, so the email is informational.
Match-day report reminder (referees only, college matches)
On the day of a college match where you're the referee, you get a separate reminder to file the report once the match is over. One email per (match, referee), even if assignors swap the referee mid-day. Tournaments don't have a match-report flow, so referees on tournament dates do not get this reminder.
Turning reminders off
Both reminders are part of the Assignment activity category. To toggle them, open Profile and adjust the Email notifications section. Note: turning them off also turns off assignment / release / match-update emails in the same category.
How the timing actually works
The reminder cron sweeps every match in the 0–2 day window each day, not just matches that are exactly 48 hours out. That means whether the match is today, tomorrow, or two days from now, the email goes out with phrasing that reads "today", "tomorrow", "in 2 days", or "in N hours" depending on how close you are. Subject and body match, the inbox preview ("Reminder: your match is in 2 days, …") tells you exactly what the email is about before you open it.
