Changing your password

Set a new password from the Profile page (and what to do if you forgot the old one).

Security1 min read

From inside the app

  1. 1Click your avatar in the top right of any page and choose Profile.
  2. 2Scroll to Change password.
  3. 3Enter your new password twice and click Update password.
You don’t need your current password
We rely on your active sign-in session as proof of identity. If your laptop is logged in, you can set a new password without re-entering the old one. Sign out from any device you don't trust before changing it.

Password complexity rules

Bluebridge enforces a small set of complexity rules so a casual password guess can't take your account over. A live checklist appears under the password field and ticks each rule green as you satisfy it:

  • At least 8 characters long.
  • At least one uppercase letter (A–Z).
  • At least one lowercase letter (a–z).
  • At least one number (0–9).
  • At least one symbol (!, @, #, $, etc.).

The Update password button stays disabled until every rule is green and the confirmation field matches. The same rules apply on the forgot-password reset form.

If you forgot it

Sign out, then click Forgot password? on the login screen. We'll email you a one-time link that takes you straight to a fresh password form, no need to remember the old one.

Use a password manager
1Password, Bitwarden, iCloud Keychain, etc. all support Bluebridge. Save your password once and stop typing it. Browser autofill also works, we use standard <code>autocomplete="new-password"</code> hints on the form.
