Inside a group: the home page

What you can do on a group home, read announcements, browse resources, see attached events, and find the rest of the roster.

When you tap into one of your groups from /my-groups, you land on its home page, a shared hub between the assignor and every other member. Three tabs across the top:

Updates tab

Two things live here:

  • Announcements, time-stamped posts from the assignor (or an admin). Pinned posts sit at the top; the rest are newest-first. Posting an announcement also emails every member by default, gated by the "Group announcements" preference on /profile.
  • Resources, static reference material curated by the assignor: links to handbooks, PDFs, scoring sheets, scanned forms, ZIPs of court diagrams. Each row has a small badge so you can tell at a glance whether it's a link or an uploaded file (and the file size for the latter).

Events tab

Every upcoming event the assignor has attached to this group, ordered soonest first. Each row links to the full event page where you can apply or check your assignment status. Past events drop into a separate "Past events" card on the same tab. "Hidden events", admin-flagged events used for QA, are suppressed from this list for group members; group managers still see them.

Members tab

The full roster alphabetized by name. Tap an email to copy it to your clipboard, handy when you need to reach a teammate about logistics. As a member you can read everyone's row but not modify membership.

Notifications you'll get

Joining a group itself is silent. The notification stream from the group is one email per announcement (subject + first line of the body), addressed to you. Toggle the entire stream off in Profile → Notifications under "Group announcements". Resources never email; they're reference material, not events.
