Visibility: public vs group
Who can see your event in search and on the group pages. The model is a 'Public' checkbox plus optional group tags, pick both, either, or neither.

Visibility is two separate signals on every event:
- Public, checkbox in the event's settings. When on, the event surfaces in Find an event for every official on Bluebridge (filters still apply). When off, the event is gated and only people in a tagged group can see it.
- Groups, multi-select that tags the event to zero or more of your groups. Tagged events show up on each tagged group's Events tab.
The four combinations
- Public + no groups, open call. Anyone can find it via /search; it doesn't live on any group home page.
- Public + 1+ groups, open call AND lives on each tagged group's Events tab. Useful when you want a wide funnel but also want your trusted roster to see it front-and-center.
- Not public + 1+ groups, group-only. Only members of the tagged groups can see or apply. The classic "private season" setup.
- Not public + no groups, hidden from everyone except you (and admins). Rare; if you want a draft, use the hidden-event toggle instead.
Where you set this
Both fields live on the event edit form (and the new-event form). On the group home itself, the Events tab also has an "Add an existing event" picker, quick way to attach one of your existing events to a group without going through the event's edit page.
Changing later
You can toggle public on/off and add or remove group tags at any time. Existing applications and assignments stay intact; the change only affects discovery from that point forward.
